Recipe for homemade stir fry with whole grain rice.

This recipe will serve 4 people and is a big favorite in my house!

About an hour before preparing our meal I will marinate our sliced sirloin in a mixture of:

1 Tablespoon of soy sauce
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon of either veg. oil or olive oil
1 Teaspoon of pepper
1 Teaspoon of onion powder

-I would not add any extra salt to the mixture.

1 Cup of whole grain rice. Follow the instructions per brand, but general rule is 5 cups of water or
broth per cup of rice. I also add a hint of ginger to my rice.

As rice is boiling I pop in the "Eat smart" (These can be found at Publix and are on sale for 3/5.00 this week!) stir fry veggie mix to steam in the bag in the microwave.

In  skillet combine the following:

1 Tablespoon of soy sauce
1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon of either veg. oil or olive oil
1 Teaspoon of pepper
1 Teaspoon of onion powder
(Your basic marinade sauce, as above, but this will be used in combination with your already made marinade with steak. The excess liquid will work as a sauce over your rice and add seasoning to your veggies that you have steamed)
1 Teaspoon of ginger powder
8oz of beef sirloin diced

Once all of the above is cooked to your liking, you can then plate it. I usually make a bed of rice first and then mix the veggies with beef/any excess liquid.

If you have anyone in your home that's looking for a carb friendly stir fry...this would be an excellent choice for them!
